Release date: February 13th, 2026
Changes compared to 26.1.0
New Features
Proxmox Guest Quotas
Magnus Box admins can now set per-user quotas that limit how many Proxmox VMs and LXC containers an account may protect. Quotas are enforced via the UI and API and will block and log attempts that would exceed the configured limit.
Enhancements
Proxmox 9.1 Support
Proxmox 9.1 introduced/store tpmstate disks (TPM-saved state) as qcow2 images and changed how TPM-backed guests are represented.
Magnus Box now supports Proxmox 9.1. Tpmstate disks stored as qcow2 can be backed up and restored, and tpmstate backups are more reliable.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where Proxmox to Proxmox restore does not have correct boot order
Fixed an issue causing misleading warnings during normal SSH tunnel shutdown for Proxmox tasks
Fixed an issue with EFI disks being created incorrectly during Proxmox restore
Fixed an issue with the Magnus Box desktop app where changing a Protected Item type from Proxmox to another type would cause the application to crash
Fixed an issue with Proxmox node connections where SSH accepts connections on ports other than 22
Fixed an issue preventing Magnus Box from installing on Synology DSM
